Two Tips for Better UX Storytelling
“Good UX often implies skillful storytelling throughout the design process — from defining the problem to sharing stories with our stakeholders. However, all stories, especially the user stories we tell in our organizations, live in the minds of our audiences. This means it is our responsibility as UX professionals to clarify and craft stories that help our audiences make them their own. One way to do that is by following the story-mountain template.”

Tips
Review one of your case studies and see if
- Narrative arc: is there a beginning, middle and end?
- Bite, Snack, Meal: are you giving digestible summaries before going into details?
- Three Layers Deep: are you explaining your design thoughts and decisions?
- Can you explain your case study in a vulnerable (which leads to opportunity) genuine and authentic way?
- Where did you fail and how did you succeed or overcome them?
- Do you feel like this case study can move someone? Make them feel something?
